SPSS is an application for conducting statistical analyses. For the course, it must be installed and have a current license, which may be obtained through the bookstore. I have included a few videos below to demonstrate how to access the course dataset and separately, how to open the course dataset in SPSS. As a reminder, SPSS is a program that uses data that is provided separately. One must open SPSS, and then use it to open the dataset. It is much like Microsoft Word in that one must open Word, and then open the file one wishes to read or write.
Using logical operators AND and OR in SPSS
Using logical operators, such as AND and OR, are a great way to include only the records in which you are interested. The video below shows how to use logical operators to select cases for analysis in SPSS.
